593rd Sustainment Brigade

Mission Statement

The unit was converted and redesignated on 25 April 1966 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 593rd General Support Group. The 593rd General Support Group participated in 14 campaigns in Vietnam from 1966 to 1972, earning its second Meritorious Unit Commendation. After returning from Vietnam, the 593rd General Support Group was inactivated on 30 April 1972 at Oakland, California.
