317th Engineer Battalion

Mission Statement:

The 317th Engtineer Battalion was part of the Engineer Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division headquartered at Fort Stewart, Georgia. The unit worked day to day with the 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. As part of the 3rd Infantry Division and XVIII Airborne Corps, the unit was part of the mechanized component of the nation's rapid reaction contingency force, and was required to be ready to deploy anywhere in the world on short notice.
