Fort Huachuca

Mission Statement:

U.S. Army Fort Huachuca From 1998 to 2001, MCX-CMAC provided technical assistance to U.S. Army, Fort Huachuca, Arizona with cultural resources programs in the areas of Native American concerns. This work supported management of cultural resources that were being impacted by military training, construction, and other installation activities. Meetings were arranged with the tribes to discuss potential sacred sites/traditional cultural properties, and plant-gathering sites located on Fort Huachuca lands. Other items addressed were NAGPRA, and the cultural and natural resources at Garden Canyon. MCX-CMAC drafted the Collections Access, Use and Loan Policy for the Fort Huachuca archaeological collections
