79th Sustainment Support Command

Mission Statement:

The 79th USAR Sustainment Support Command's (SSC) assigned mission is to execute the Army Reserve (AR) Title X responsibilities as a two-star command responsible for the aligned subordinate commands, to include training readiness oversight and mobilization support as required in the commander’s area of responsibility. The command's restated mission is to execute all command and control (C2) requirements for Army Reserve combat service support (CSS) units in up to four subordinate Expeditionary Sustainment Commands (ESCs) in the Western area of responsibility (AOR). The SSC will effectively support the collective training, mobilization, deployment and redeployment of CSS units dispersed over significant geographic distances.

Vision Statement

The 79th USAR SSC vision is to provide trained, ready, cohesive, well-led Sustainment units for world-wide deployment to meet the U.S. Army’s rotational and contingency mission requirements in support of the National Military Strategy. Once fully operational, the 79th will support more than 20,000 Army Reserve Soldiers in 26 states in the Western U.S. The unit is commanded by Commanding General Maj. Gen. William D. Frink, Jr.
