Mission Statement
2-158th Assault Helicopter Battalion is to deploy worldwide and conduct air assault and air movement operations in support of unified land operations. On order, accepts attachments to form an Aviation Battalion Task Force and conducts attack, reconnaissance, air assault, and air movement operations in support of unified land operations.2-158th AHB was redesignated 17 October 2011 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 158th Aviation Regiment at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. It is comprised of HHC "Highlanders", two Flight companies (A Co"Arch Angels" and B Co "Bigfoot"), an Aviation Unit Maintence Company (D Co "Dark Knights"), and a Forward Support Company (E Co "Easy Company"). The Third Flight Company (C Co) will activate in the third quarter FY12.
